A RuleDownload occurs when the SDK communicates with the Bluedot platform to update stored information like new Zones, news geofence, or changes to conditions.
E.g. If you have 10 Zones in your Project, and then create Zone 11, your user's won't actually be able to trigger that new Zone, until a RuleDownload has occurred.
By default, a RuleDownload will occur once ever 24 hours. However, if the SDK is re-authenticated this will complete a RuleDownload - use a swipe close and reopen will be OK but on Android you may need to force stop the app.
If you do change the Rule Download Interval (RDI), this will be applied to the SDK on the next RuleDownload.
E.g. an RDI change from 24hr to 48hrs, would take 24hr to come into effect.
You can change you RDI on a per Project basis.
- Login into Canvas
- Choose Project from the menu in the top right corner

- Ensure the number of hours between Rule Download Interval*

* We only recommend an internal less 24hours during for internal use or testing.
